Great Things to do in Paris
There are so many interesting things to see in Paris, it might be hard to start narrowing down the list. Here’s a brief list of some of the sites in Paris that are definitely must-see attractions.
The first thing you should probably consider doing is seeing a day tour of the city, since this can give you some more ideas of what would attract you personally. Familiarize yourself with the city, that way, if you get lost then you have a small inkling as to where you may be and how you can get back there. Try to select a hotel you can find, preferably one whose name you can say easily. With these things in mind, you should have a great time in Paris!
The first, most obvious choice is the Eiffel Tower. The tower itself commands an impressive view of the city. The tower is open in the summer from 9:30AM until Midnight and during the winter from 10:00AM to 11:00PM every day of the week.
The Musee de Louvre is the largest national museum of France and the most visited museum of the entire world. Housing tens of thousands of artworks, the Louvre really does live up to it’s phenomenal reputation.
The Notre Dame Cathedral is another great place to visit, and is open year round. Be warned that some locations within the cathedral do suffer from limited access. It is free of charge to tour this ancient relic.
Luxembourg Gardens is the largest public park in all of France. The scenery here is absolutely breathtaking. There is something for everyone here with attractions for the kids as well that include a carousel, ponies, and puppet shows.
Paris Plage is the beach in Paris located on the Seine River. The exact attractions available change, as the city adds and removes attractions periodically. Though the beach itself is free of charge, the various attractions do have individual admission prices.
